Police State 03:07
How they move? In packs Set the stage in shadow Steeling for the second act And we can't see the bodies Just the hands Brandishing a stick and Waiting for the next command Calling all souls Before it's too late Lie in the way of the police state Who are you protecting, Who do you serve? Twitching like the scalpel Touched a nerve Kept me in my seat Didn't know my back was bent Until I tried to stand up straight You're a very strong man You've got a very long reach How we move? In packs Calling all souls Before it's too late Lie in the way of the police state Enemy combatant, prisoner of war There isn't any difference anymore Calling all souls

Let's go gather bottles So we can get drunk for the holiday Got some roman candles To help us celebrate I wanna make some loud noises Set something off Get something going and then Watch it blow up Joey he ain't coming, don't know where he got to Hopped a train in Boise and I ain't seen him since Said he had lead on a job he might do Said he had a brother who was gonna take him in I wanna make some loud noises Set something off Light it on fire and then Watch it blow up I am the whistle before the explosion I am the heat that makes powder expand Some days I wake up lucky Today I am the queen of the damned Something to empty Something to swallow Something to burn out Someone to follow I wanna make some loud noises Piss someone off Get a fight going and then Watch it blow up Make it blow up Something to empty Something to swallow Something to burn out Someone to follow

One leg said to the other I cannot stand it brother Your step is long, your gait is wide I'm always on the losing side One eye said to the other Was once you were my lover Now you only look away I don't see why you even stay One arm thus it spoke to me I am not whole, you are not free We cannot move exactly as we please The marginalized limb One tooth said to another It's hardly worth the bother Up and down and all we get Is dark, decay and emptiness One leg said to the other I'll not escape you brother Every time I make a stride I find you standing by my side One arm thus it spoke to me I am not whole, you are not free We cannot move exactly as we please Lung and liver Tongue and heart A body of complaining parts A family that is tearing at the seams The marginalized limb

Gonna spill it all over the ground See what it looks like Gonna spill it all into the sea See what I done Swallow it and cut it up Tell you what it looks like Draw you a simple picture Before I run Oh but I missed All the prettyness Oh it's delicate Too late now Gonna spill it all over the ground See what it looks like Gonna spill it all into the sea See what I done And this what that you had once You won't have no more But you won't know just when Has the taking begun Oh but I missed All the prettyness Oh it's delicate Too late now We come, we come, we come in peace

United 06:55
United We lay where we lay Our bodies and blood in the way Of all you aim to control Of all you hope to have and to hold We are united We have slept for so long Pushing away the truths we have known We are one, hook and line And if you sink to the bottom I'm sinking at the same time We are united You are already on our side There is but one, when you awake you will find We'll leave the death of our theft and neglect behind us Celebrate life, honor the ties that bind us We are united

Looking at a map of America And I hear your voice in my head Singing every word that I'm thinking Humming every thought that I had Meaning well and doing well are different Says the table full of debris Left over from breakfast When you were sitting next to me How do you know when it's ready How do you know when it's right? Plugged all the numbers in But the answer comes out different every time Looking at a map of America And I can see just where we are And I count myself lucky To have made it this far You know me, I would've traded places with a million people at a million times And a million would've wanted what I had How do you know when it's ready How do you know when it's right? Plugged all the numbers in But the answer comes out different every time Maybe it's different every time

Bay Ocean 03:03
Bay ocean bay ocean Won't you set her free My love in a house that fell into the sea I find it in pieces washed up on the beach Hairbrush of bone hidden half in the sand Balustrade where she once lay her sweet hand Frame with no picture A door and a key Bay ocean bay ocean Let her back to me I see we were wrong to put our trust in you For you will do things that a man could not do Fury and force to deliver it well I'd sooner pact with the devil in hell Bay ocean bay ocean Let her back to me What use have you for her broken body? Crackled and sparkled when she was alive Bay ocean let me lay her down now she's died Late when sleep takes me I'm caught in your squall A man with no arms and no throat left to call A voice I remember like no other one says She took me to pay for the damage you've done

I can hide you here They don't know to be looking yet Anyway they won't find you here Come in now, your hair's all wet I don't need a reason I don't need a word Thought you'd be gone by now Whisked away on a plane You got left behind somehow By ones you thought were your friends I don't need a reason I don't need a word I could comprehend it The moment that I heard Evil is a funny thing Gets inside your bones Fiddles with your switches You mustn't stand too close I don't need a reason I don't need a word I knew why you did it The moment that I heard

Empires Fall 03:18
I watched your bus as it pulled away from the station I thought I saw your hand pressed to the glass Five fingers spread out in panic or supplication I wish I knew but I never ask And there you go Trapped like a bird in formation Empires fall I'll be here when you return When I first looked at the picture I didn't notice Something was missing that used to be part of your face A question that lived in between your eyes and your hairline Heaviness moved in and settled in its place I know you Caught like a kid in the crossfire Empires fall I'll be here when you return There you stood Lost like a word in translation Empires fall I'll be here when you return

The Wall 02:33

about

A bold and haunting statement about a nation on a precipice, "America" deftly juxtaposes the fragile beauty of hope with the menace of arrogance and corruption.
